Wales National Airshow this weekend!

RAF Hawk pic 2009 This weekend, Swansea will be greeted by the Red Arrows, Eurofighter Typhoon plus much more as the Wales National Airshow jets in to Swansea Bay.

There are ground displays taking place throughout both days from 10am - 7pm, along with the air displays, surf simulator and climbing wall.

Air displays
Saturday - between 1.00pm - 4.30pm concluding with the Red Arrows
Sunday - between 12 noon and 3.30pm starting with the Red Arrows

Dance Days this weekend

Dance Days Don't forget, there'll be free high energy dance performances at Castle Square and the National Waterfront Museum this weekend when Dance Days returns to the city.

The Queen's Dragoon Guard (The Welsh Guards) will be parading around the city on Saturday too - the're being given the Freedom of the City and County of Swansea.

They'll set off about 11.30am from the Guildhall, Swansea.

If you are looking for some high speed action, then get yourself down to Swansea Bay Promenade on July 11-12 as the Red Arrows and friends will be jetting in for the Wales National Airshow.

For the energetic side in you, why not try out the Gower Bike Ride on 5 July (don't forget - Active Swansea members get a discount), the LC Swansea Bay 5k on 14 July or the Race for Lifeon the 19th.

There is something for the music lovers also, rock out to the Gower Rock Festival, Opera on the BP big screen in Castle Square or get up and dance to High School Musical 2in Penyrheol Theatre.

La Traviata tonight in Castle Square

Picture 006 La Traviata is being beamed live from the Royal Opera House to the big screen in Castle Square tonight, 30 June, at 7.00pm.

Wimbledon is also being shown during the day this week so that you can watch live - enjoy your lunch break in Castle Square.

A fun family day out at the Sea Swansea Festival

Everybody had a great day out at this year's Sea Swansea Festival.  From the Sheppey Pirates and the Pirate Ship, to the Shanty singing and Newfoundland dog rescue show, there was something for the whole family to enjoy.

Free Tennis Open Day at Bishopston Sports Centre

Tennis Centre Swansea_88 Get on down to Bishopston Sports Centre for a special open day this Sunday.  There are free tennis sessions between 11am-4pm, with plenty of fun activities for adults and children alike to enjoy.

It will be a great day, and a fantastic opportunity to improve your skills, receive some handy hints and tips, and compete in some tournaments.

Family fun this weekend in Swansea

Pirates sea swansea Don't miss out on family fun this weekend - 20 - 21 June!

Sea Swansea is taking place at the Waterfront Museum from 11am - 5pm on Sat and Sun, with lots of music and pirate-themed fun for all ages, plus the chance to see the floating exhibits in Swansea Museum up close.

Meanwhile, just up the road in Brynmill Park they'll be celebrating the Discovery Centre's 1st birthday from 12 noon - 6pm on Saturday, with a graffiti wall and kid's activities.

Bonymaen Carnival is also taking place on Saturday from 1pm, with lots of activities happening in the grounds of Cefn Hengoed school and leisure centre.
